Website ADA Accessibility – We’ve Got a Plan
Share
We’ve had numerous emails from clients sharing that a few website vendors are calling them to offer website ADA accessibility reviews and remediation. All websites that have been published by Civic Clarity in the past two years were launched with WCAG 2.1 AA standards checked. We have a plan to review and fix all older websites as part of their no-cost website refresh project before the DOJ 28 CFR Part 35 goes into effect in April 2026/7. We understand the new ruling and are taking care of you. If anyone contacts you concerned about your website, feel free to send them our way so that we can review their findings. Please read our plan for all Civic Clarity websites.
One aspect of the website DOJ ruling that we can not actively affect is how you upload your documents. PDFs continue to be recommended over Word documents because they can present in a browser and are more difficult to edit. To help you understand how to use Word to create accessible documents we have created a document that highlights the important features of Word to use.
